Felt like something a little older today. LOVED these guys at the tail of end of high school and well into college, but haven't really revisited them in some time. They were the "other" big rock band in Canada in the late 90s after Our Lady Peace, but never really broke whatsoever in the US. A lot of great stuff across their albums...and Matthew Good went on to do some good solo stuff, though I haven't listened to anything new since like 2005. This one's a pretty sweet rocker.
For anyone visiting this space on any sort of regular basis, I apologize for the lack of updates lately. Here's a good one to try and get things back on track....
A Silent Film - Danny, Dakota & the Wishing Well
ps - i get to go to the dentist for a crown tomorrow. i'm old.
Since it's one of those "milestone birthdays" and all... my favorite song from my favorite band...beautifully acoustified. The best part is that the real version of this was playing on my alarm clock radio when I woke up this morning.
Foo Fighters - Everlong (Acoustic)
ps - foo fighters acoustic in chicago is still the best show i've ever been to.
I wanted to put these guys's song 'Write Me a Myth' on here, but it's not on youtube or even grooveshark. It's alright, though, because they have lots of other good songs...like this one...
I wish I'd known about these guys when I lived in Austin...
Quiet Company - You, Me, & the Boatman (Truth Is, I've Been Thirsty My Whole Life)
ps - taking back sunday's 10-year anniversary of tell all your friends acoustic show was pretty fantastic. thursday is the plugged in 10-year anniversary show. i shall be there.
