According to Spotify, this is both the #1 AND #27 track right now in the UK. In the US, it doesn't even register in the top 100. The Brits have always been pretty on top of good tunes...I've found myself listening to this quite a bit the past few days. I guess 13,973,230 youtube views can't be wrong...
Bastille - Pompeii
ps - michael shannon's dramatic read of the nutcase sorority girl letter is amazing.
The last song I posted on here from The Weeks, "Buttons", basically had a chorus that just repeated over and over again. This one here barely even has a chorus. Versatility!
The Weeks - Mountains Make Me Crazy
ps - maybe one day i'll be able to get to bed before 1am on a weeknight. one day....
Love ya...I really, really do...but I think all these festivals might be listing you guys a little too high on the lineup card. But hey, what do I know?...Phoenix has apparently achieved headliner status...and that is...just...not correct. Really glad you're getting all this love, though. Can't wait for the new album, cause this is awesome.
Kisses,

Vampire Weekend - Diane Young
ps - it's looking like a no festival 2013 for me. sad.
I guess it's time to get this back on after a nice 3 month break. What better way to start than with the best song of 2013 to date. Yeah Yeah Yeahs have pretty much had at least one mind-blowing song per album (among many other solid tracks)...specifically: 'Maps' on Fever to Tell, 'Gold Lion' on Show Your Bones, 'Zero' on It's Blitz and now this killer...
I saw someone describe the sound of this as "sultry"....but when I first read it, I read it as "slutty". I think both apply smashingly and in the best way possible.
Kita Klane - The Enemy
ps - i forgot how relaxing it is just lay in bed and listen to music.
