Lost (Events Occur in Real Time)

Lost is back! Last week's season premiere was pretty insane. We got a few answers (Smokey!), but unsurprisingly we also got many new questions that need answers (Alternate realities? Who are these Temple people? Why is a Samurai in charge? Why is American John Lennon his translator? Desmond on the plane?!?). We've got 15 episodes to go, and I'm not sure the ending to the show can ever live up to the ridiculous hype and anticipation, but I'm ready for the ride that will be season 6. Ever since they set an end date, the series has been pretty much gold and generally out of control with craziness. I love it.

But enough about what's to come. This is more about Lost's past. I came across this video a week ago, and it's basically a telling of the Oceanic Flight 815 plane crash in real time...24 style. Someone went back through and basically put all the events right before and up to the crash in order, laying scenes over each other.. You've seen all these bits and pieces throughout the course of the series, but never in one cohesive linear narrative like this. It's pretty great and really well done. And it's a great way to relive what actually happened on the "original" version of Flight 815...

Watch.

Also, there's a real-time version of the events at Sydney airport prior to the flight...this one gets even crazier with the scene overlays.  Only Part 1 is up to this point, but the creator promises a part 2 soon.

I've loved Lost since the beginning, but have never been that guy who reads every single blog or tries to find info on all the possible theories surrounding what is going on.  I've been generally OK with waiting week to week for each new episode. This season, though, I've seriously caught the bug, and can't get enough...it's kind of out of control.  I'm sweating and anxious for episode 2.
